Where is Big Sky?

Big Sky is in the beautiful village of Burton Bradstock, about 3 miles outside Bridport – a vibrant coastal town. We're at the heart of the Dorset National Landscape, which is a protected area of outstanding natural beauty. â€‹

Can I bring my pet?

Yes! Just let us know.  We simply charge an additional flat fee of £50 to cover extra cleaning at the end of your stay.  Select that option via the booking form and the additional charge will be added to your total fee. 

Does the maximum capacity of the house include children?

We've set our capacity for a maximum of 9 people. However, you can bring up to two children under the age of five and one baby/toddler under the age of two in addition, and we can offer them either a small single sofa bed or a cot at no extra charge.  Please let us know if you'd like to add a baby or young child to your booking via 'Special Requests' on the booking form, and we'll do our best to accommodate you. 

What's included in my booking fee?

When you visit our booking page and select the dates you're looking for, a price generates. This varies according to the time of year you're booking for (the number of people staying doesn't affect the price). This price covers:


- Your stay
- Utilities

- End of stay cleaning
- Our meet and greet service
- Linen and towels

- A £500 damages deposit (see below)​

Your damages deposit

Every booking includes a £500 charge as a damages deposit. We hold this for the duration of your stay. On the day you leave the property, we check it over to make sure that no significant damage has been caused to the house or it contents. Once that's confirmed, we refund the deposit to you. Via other booking sites, a hold is placed on your card  for a similar amount. 

 

Please be reassured that 'damage' does not refer to expected wear and tear and it's very rare that we have to deduct from the damages deposit. You can read the full terms and conditions for the damages deposit here. 

Your booking deposit

When you book more than 4 weeks (30 days) before the first day of your stay, you can reserve your dates by paying a booking deposit that's equal to 25% of your total booking fee. 

When you book within 4 weeks (30 days) before the first day of your stay, full payment is due immediately to secure your dates. We'll request your payment via email. 

Cancellations

Cancel by 15:00 up to 30 days in advance of the first day of your booking and receive a 100% refund. 

Cancel by 15:00 up to 7 days in advance of the first day of your booking and receive a 50% refund.

No refund will be given for cancellations after 15:00 hours within 7 days of the first day of your booking.
